My name is Gabriela Koekkoek, but you can call me Gaby. I married my 3rd grade sweetheart in 2010 and we own a cute beagle named Cooper. I absolutely love traveling, eating ice cream, shopping, playing soccer, and watching Netflix.
My story starts with yearbook class my senior year of high school. I had never gotten the chance to work with a camera that was worth more than $20. Through yearbook class I was able to shoot with a DSLR camera and I became obsessed with the shutter click. I bought my first DSLR my freshmen year of college and I have not been able to separate myself from taking photos since then. Photography was a great release for me while I was studying science at the University of Oregon. Taking photos kept me sane.
After I married Adam in 2010, weddings became a calling for me. After planning my own wedding, I was able to see the beauty of what goes on during that magical day. After our wedding, I wanted to be a part of it all again. I love being around people in love. It truly is magical and fills my heart.
A wedding can be a stressful and very fast-paced day; it's easy to miss the details of it all. I am there to notice those details and to help you feel comfortable and relaxed. I am there to tell the story of your love and happiness through romantic and sweet photographs.
Not only do I enjoy shooting weddings, but taking photos of seniors in high school is also a passion of mine. I was a high school Young Life leader after I graduated high school for a few years so shooting seniors was something that became something comfortable for me. A senior's final year in high school is such an exciting time and it is an honor to be able to capture a student during that time in their life.
I am truly blessed to do what I love and to be able to love people through this gift.
