Life in January

January 31, 2012

Life is crazy.

Adam graduates in 3 months with a Master's in School Counseling!
Then what you may ask....

Yeah.... We don't know.
But, I'm ok with it. We're ok with it. As soon as we know what we're doing with the rest of our lives, I'll definitely be writing about it. It's a big waiting period for us it seems like.
In the mean time, I'm taking photos, working at the RG, and at the high school while Adam is trying to finish his internship and he's still making furniture.

Well since we've been home from Peru, I've been trying to stay busy!
I updated my website! Yipee! If you haven't seen it yet, go check it out:

It was HARD work, it felt like I had been working on it for a week straight! But I'm so happy with the outcome. I'm sort of re-branding. I'm so excited for things to come with this business. Wooo!

More exciting news... I have started taking applications for Seniors of 2013!!! I'm looking for 2 seniors at each school to represent my photography. If you are interested or know of anyone that would be click here! It's a great opportunity to get a free styled photoshoot and to earn some extra money! I'm really excited to get this going! My goal is to have my senior representatives chosen by the middle of March.

Also, I wanted to share some images of a beautiful wedding I helped Daniel of Daniel Soule Photography. I swear it was the hottest day of the summer. The wedding was held at a private residence in Veneta and their bakyard was Fern Ridge Lake! It was beautiful!!! And did I mention it was also SO HOT! I'm thankful to be able to share a few shots from the August wedding. A HUGE thank you to Daniel on trusting me and for his encouragement :)
Enjoy!

p.s. I'll be posting some more photos of Peru soon. The beautiful mountains of where my mom grew up and my grandma's farm is next!

Return to the Homeland

January 13, 2012

As many of you know, Adam finally met the other side of the family! And yes, they LOVED him (who wouldn't). They thought he was pretty handsome too (score!). Man, it was awesome. I think Adam learned that he didn't know as much Spanish as he thought he did, but he has time to learn :)
Being a huge family person, I was in heaven. Being surrounded by the best family in the world, the best food in the world, and the best man in the world, I couldn't ask for more. We were of course missing some people, but it was great nonetheless.
I surprisingly had no internet connection and could not use my laptop :( It really turned out to be for the best. I was fully relaxed.
It is taking me time to be back to normal, and Adam is rubbing off on me, I'm taking a really long to time to reply back, whether it is with a phone call, text or email. I suck. Plus I became sick when I got home and finally today I am starting to feel better! That's like a whole two weeks of sickness! So this year has not started out as the greatest year but I'm determined to turn that around! Starting with today, and finally sharing images of our trip! There's three parts to our trip and I'll be doing a part at a time.
We start out in Lima, my dad's side of the family, and the great Primada :) I don't get to see my family in Lima very often so my cousin Claudia and I planned that we do a big get together the day I was there. Luckily most of us were able to attend and it really was so wonderful to see them. I hadn't seen some of my family since my family moved to Oregon! 15 years ago!! We of course celebrated with good food, good drinks, and great dancing :)

Have a Happy Friday!

I will posting more on facebook!!!
Plus more photos of the trip to come :)
