Miguel: Springfield High School 2012. Oregon Senior Photographer

November 29, 2011

In just 15 days, Adam and I will be listening to Christmas music while enjoying sunshine and the beach!
Eeeeeeeeeeeek!

Sorry, I just had to share my excitement!
Yesterday I was walking and thinking about all the fun we'll have and found myself grinning like a creep! Hahahahaha, hopefully no one saw me!

Today I wanted to share more photos! YAY!
This is Miguel, a sweet kid. I can't believe he's already a senior! Enjoy the photos, and as always...

have a Happy Tuesday!

Life is kicking my butt at the moment.
Have you ever had the feeling of being stuck?! Physically, mentally, spiritually?!
Adam and I have a few months to go, and the adventure begins.
I have this feeling in my heart that just wants to GO, but the thing is, I don't know where that is yet.
It is completely frustrating and I want to rip my hair out because I'm so anxious to know what's next for our lives.
This has been my problem with Jesus since we have had a relationship. I struggle with the patience, but I am comforted in knowing that whatever Adam and I are called to do, it is going to be darn goooooood :)
I honestly want to pursue this photography career. As I came home from Young Life campaigners tonight, Jesus was tugging at my heart. I love photography, I love people, I love emotions and beauty. I want to be able to capture people and those moments FULL TIME! God is leading me slowly but surely and I'm thankful that He is willing to help, even when I doubt the plan.

I am thankful for the people that have been placed in my life to help guide me through this time. I am thankful for Adam who makes my day so much better with a kiss and a little silly dance. I am thankful for Cooper who greets me every time I come home with his whole body shaking in excitement. I am thankful for my family who has helped mold me into who I am today and for the ridiculous laughs and silliness. Thankful for my Koekkoek family who love me oh so much and support Adam and I in huge ways, and for letting me joke around with them. I am thankful for friends who make me smile and warm my heart.

What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving? And what are you doing about it?

Since a post is boring without pictures, enjoy the beautiful Joanna and her pretty eyes! Jealous!
Happy Monday!

I have the worst dog in the world! Worst! He likes to use our carpet as his personal bathroom, he sticks his nose into everything, likes to gets his teeth on important stuff around the house, and just when you're feeling all cozy and warm before bed he will come with a wet nose and claw at you until you let him under the covers.
The one thing I don't get is how Cooper can also be the best dog.
 It's a mystery.
Well as I edit my life away today, watching good movies, drinking hot chocolate and snuggling with my dog, I couldn't help but want to share some photos of my recent shoots with seniors.
Today is Jamin.
She's beautiful! She is also one of my Young Life girls. She has transformed from a timid, freshman girl to a young woman who stands firmly in her identity in Christ. She's awesome :)
I took her and Jessica out on the same day and we got lucky and saw some sunshine (although it was still cold!). I love this girl.
Enjoy the photos! Happy Friday!

The weather has been awful lately!
Since the time change, the city gets dark at 5pm! AHHH! I know! Precious daylight is lost!
Oh man do I hate winter time. Luckily Adam and I will have a mini vacation in Peru, during their summer time!
Today's feature is Kendal! She's is such a sweet person and I was excited when she contacted me to do her senior photos. She had the model status down with her super fierce poses :)
She's great and take a look at those eyes!
Enjoy the photos and Happy Wednesday!

Even though I'm not in school, life is still busy!
But the good kind. No more homework to worry about or midterms, just work and photography!
This last week was a bit hectic, but now I'm trying to get back into regular life.
I had 6 photoshoots in 1 week! And I couldn't be any happier about it :)
Today I'm featuring one of my Young Life girls, Jessica, aka Turtles (she's obsessed with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; hence her nickname).
I seriously love this girl. I met her when she was a freshman four years ago! I can't believe that she is now in her last year of high school and growing into a beautiful young woman.
If I write any more I might cry, so enjoy her photos!
Happy Tuesday and Wednesday!
